Née à Cracovie (Pologne) en 1983, Joanna Abrahamowicz a grandi à Montréal. Elle a obtenu un Baccalauréat en Beaux-Arts de l'Université Concordia en 2005. A l'âge de 11 ans, l'artiste a exposé au Centre Communautaire de l'Ȋle-des-Soeurs. Plus récemment, le travail de l'artiste a été exposé à la Galerie VAV, la Galerie Art en Majuscule, la Galerie Art Mȗr et la Galerie d'Art d'Outremont. Plusieurs distinctions ont étés décernées à l'artiste: le Premier Prix d'Excellence de Première et de Deuxième année en Beaux-Arts du Cégep Dawson, la Bourse d'Excellence de l'Université Concordia en Reconnaissance de Réussite Académique Supérieure, et la Bourse de la Fondation Elizabeth Greenshields. À l'automne 2010, Joanna Abrahamowicz a eu une exposition individuelle à la Galerie d'Art d'Outremont- l'exposition présentant peintures et dessins fut visionné par plus de 700 visiteurs. L'artiste est présentement représentée par la Galerie d'Avignon, et ses oeuvres se trouvent dans des collections privées et publiques. Born in Cracow (Poland) in 1983, Joanna Abrahamowicz grew up in Montreal. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in 2005. At the age of 11 years the artist has exhibited at Nun's Island Community Center. More recently, the artist's work was exhibited at the VAV Gallery, the Galerie Art en Majuscule, the Galerie Art Mȗr and at the Galerie d'Art d'Outremont. Several distinctions have been awarded to the artist: the First and Second year Fine Arts Achievement Award of Dawson College, the Concordia University Entrance Scholarship in Recognition of Superior Academic Achievement, and the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. In the fall of 2010, Joanna Abrahamowicz had a solo exhibition at the Galerie d'Art d'Outremont - the exhibition showcasing both paintings and drawings was attended by more than 700 visitors. The artist is currently represented by Galerie d'Avignon, and her works can be found in both private and public collections.
