Né au Nouveau Brunswick, Michael Lewis a étudié l’art visuel au Collège d’Art et Dessin de Nouvelle Écosse (NSCAD,1992-1999). Depuis le début de ses études, ses œuvres se retrouvent dans des expositions solo et de groupe aux 'aritimes et dans les Prairies. Il heabite et peint à Halifax. Pour Michael, ses peintures ne cache rien. Les valeurs paradoxales dirigent ses oeuvres. Le désir est joint avec l’ignorance, le tout est égale au rien et la raison réside encore avec la passion.Ses oeuvres représentent des mondes ou le plaisir provient du pouvoir de l'imagination. Demonstrating his talents early on, he participated in his first exhibition in 1992. Since then, his works have appeared in solo and group shows in both the Maritimes and Central Canada.
